Top 4 reasons that make this Qatar Grand Prix a must-see 🏁

This Sunday 8 October, the great Formula 1 circus is heading to Lusail, in Qatar, for a round that promises to be fiery. Under the lights of this night-time Grand Prix, the drivers will be battling it out in temperatures expected to approach 40°C.

As we know, Qatar is a sprint race weekend, which means that there are even more points up for grabs! Here are 4 reasons why you won’t want to miss this Grand Prix:

1.

The big attraction in Qatar is none other than Max Verstappen who should, barring any disaster, be crowned world champion as early as the sprint race on Saturday! He would join the (very) exclusive club of the three-time world champions, which includes legends like Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda and Nelson Piquet, to name just a few. He would also become the first driver in history to be crowned world champion during a sprint race!

2.

If Mad Max already has one hand on the coveted trophy, it’s still very much game on for the rest of the grid. Will Sergio Perez, whose performances have recently been underwhelming, manage to hang on to his runner-up spot in the championship? Or will Hamilton claw back even more points? The Mexican is out of contract for 2024, so he has no choice but to impress Red Bull in Qatar if he wants to keep his seat for next year!

3.

Fernando Alonso truly seems to be carrying the entire Aston Martin team on his back. However, his car is far from being as competitive as it was at the beginning of the season to the point where, despite his best efforts, he’s now seeing the Ferraris of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc catch up to him in the drivers’ standings. Will the Bull of Asturias be able to bag enough points this weekend to save his spot on the podium of the standings?

4.

In the constructors’ championship, things are just as close! The battle for 2nd place rages on between Mercedes and Ferrari as both teams arrive in top shape to battle it out on the Lusail circuit. McLaren, the big surprise of this second part of the season, is now almost matching Red Bull for pace and can start setting their sights on Aston Martin’s 4th place in the standings.

See you at Circus to experience this Qatar Grand Prix even more intensely by betting on the best odds.
