This Sunday 8 October, the great Formula 1 circus is heading to Lusail, in Qatar, for a round that promises to be fiery. Under the lights of this night-time Grand Prix, the drivers will be battling it out in temperatures expected to approach 40°C.

As we know, Qatar is a sprint race weekend, which means that there are even more points up for grabs! Here are 4 reasons why you won’t want to miss this Grand Prix:

The big attraction in Qatar is none other than Max Verstappen who should, barring any disaster, be crowned world champion as early as the sprint race on Saturday! He would join the (very) exclusive club of the three-time world champions, which includes legends like Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda and Nelson Piquet, to name just a few. He would also become the first driver in history to be crowned world champion during a sprint race!

If Mad Max already has one hand on the coveted trophy, it’s still very much game on for the rest of the grid. Will Sergio Perez, whose performances have recently been underwhelming, manage to hang on to his runner-up spot in the championship? Or will Hamilton claw back even more points?
