ATP Finals: who will win the last prestigious tournament of the season? 🎾
This weekend (18 & 19/11), the ATP Finals tournament will deliver its verdict! Who will come out on top in this tournament bringing together the elite of men's tennis?
“Hello everyone,
I've been looking forward to this tournament. It’s the first time in my career that I’ve managed to directly qualify for this tournament, even though I’ve already played in it as a substitute back in 2021.
My 2023 season saw quite a few breakthroughs. I reached a major semifinal for the first time at Wimbledon and lifted my first ATP Masters 1,000 trophy in Toronto.
I also won the Beijing and Montpellier tournaments. In the Chinese capital, I got the better of Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev in consecutive matches to lift the trophy and move up to 4th place in the ATP rankings in the process, which was a true career high.
Two years ago, when I was a substitute in the tournament, I seized my chance on the big stage. I managed to defeat Hubert Hurcacz in two sets and pushed Daniil Medvedev to a tie-break in the final set.
This year's competition got off to a great start for me, as I pulled off 3 wins in the group stages. I put an end to the superb winning streak of the Serbian legend of our sport.
Qualification for this semi-final is therefore just around the corner! Who knows, given this incredible season, I might even be able to claim the final victory. After all, I’m playing at home!”
