Pro League: an exceptional Sunday

New Pro League matchday and new clashes coming up. This Sunday, 3 matches will have our attention all day long. Are you ready?

Anderlecht – Club Brugge

We’re starting strong with THE clash of the weekend, the Topper between Anderlecht and Brugge. With 8 consecutive home games without a win, the Mauves are struggling to rise to the occasion at home against Brugge. The Lotto Park has become Blauw en Zwart’s home ground, so will Besnik Hasi be able to put a smile back on the faces of the Mauves’ fans?

Based on what we've seen of the Mauves this season, it's going to be a tough task; Anderlecht are struggling to develop their football against the top teams. Another defeat could further weaken the relationship between the coach and the fans, who are highly critical of him. Will you dare bet on them? A +25% BetXtra is now available!

STVV – Standard de Liège

The big question for this match is: will Standard be able to keep it up? After their humiliation in Ghent, Euvrard's men bounced back with a victory over the Challenger Pro League leaders in the cup, before winning 3-1 in the derby against Charleroi.

Standard are playing better, but it's been years since the Rouches have been able to put in back-to-back good performances. If they want to show they've turned the corner, they'll have to win at Sint-Truiden, which always a tough trip.

KAA Gent vs KRC Genk

The two teams may be right behind each other in the standings, but the atmosphere in the changing rooms is sure to be quite different. At Genk, good performances are finally being converted into points. Genk have always played well, but it's finally time for the Limburgers to climb up the leaderboard. They're in great shape and intend to stay that way.

Meanwhile Gent are on a roller-coaster ride. Leko's men are alternating between being exceptional and mediocre, creating a bitter cocktail for the Croatian coach. After losing 4-1 at Zulte, Gent responded well by crushing Standard 4-0 and we thought the bad patch was over. But that was before last weekend when OHL pulverized them 4-0. There's never a dull moment with Gent, but that’s probably not what Leko is wanting. Will the rollercoaster ride continue or will Gent sink? One thing's for sure: there could be goals!
