Pro League: new impetus following the break?

Our beloved Pro League is back after an international break signifying the Belgian team’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup. Did this time off help some of the teams to gather their forces?

Standard vs Zulte Waregem

The last few weeks have been a real rollercoaster for Standard. Week by week, they have alternated between wins and losses, impressive performances and disappointing displays.

The lack of stability has been a recurring problem at Sclessin for.... several years now. Coaches have come and gone, but none of them ever managed to resolve the issue. Has Vincent Euvrard finally found the key to unlocking his players’ potential? We’ll find out this Friday evening in Sclessin as Standard face off against Zulte Waregem, a team that is full of surprises!

Club Brugge vs Charleroi

Defeated in Anderlecht during the Topper, the Black & Blues must prove themselves against Charleroi in order to stay hard on Union Saint-Gilloise’s heels. With Hans Vanaken, captain of the Devils in Kazakhstan, on top form, Club Brugge are the favorites to claim the win at Jan Breydel Stadium.

Meanwhile, Charleroi have successfully bounced back following their defeat against Westerlo at Sclessin before the break. But just like Standard, the Zebras have been far from delivering a steady performance and their games have been up and down. Both teams have a lot to lose going into this match. Who will come out on top? Ready, set, bet!

La Louvière vs Anderlecht

After a tricky start to the season, the Wolves managed to take several of their opponents by surprise and make it out of the danger zone. Their mission: to stay out of it.

Anderlecht, the opposing team, continue to confound the pundits. Ranked 3rd in the overall leaderboard, they have a solid track record. Nevertheless, trainer Besnik Hasi continues to take the flak, particularly with regards to his players’ performance. Is the wind about to turn?
