Pro League: December is going crazy!

This month of December is definitely full of surprises. Standard are in the top 6, Sint-Truiden are in second place and Antwerp seem to be making a comeback. What surprises will this 18th matchday have in store for us?

Standard – OH Leuven

Standard, who had not won a single game in December since 2021, have already won two... in a row... and away from home! Has Vincent Euvrard landed on the recipe for success? The answer will come this weekend against Leuven, led by Felice Mazzù.

The former Charleroi coach has rarely seen success at Sclessin. But Standard haven’t won three consecutive games in the Pro League since October 2023! Will the Rouches manage to stay in the top 6? Ready, set, bet!

Anderlecht – Sint-Truiden

What if Sint-Truiden were our surprise team of the season? We’re already over halfway through the regular season, and the Trudonnaires seem more solid than ever. Last weekend, they beat Club Brugge and knocked them off the second spot in the table. But Brugge is not the only club to have seen Sint-Truiden pass them – Anderlecht were also in that position!

The Mauves put in their worst performance of the season when they were humiliated 4-0 by Westerlo. This made the club from the capital fall to 4th place, but they already have a chance to make up for their mistake this Saturday against Sint-Truiden. Will the Trudonnaires produce another big surprise?

KAA Gent – Antwerp

What’s going on with Antwerp? Two weeks ago, Belgium’s oldest club was beaten by Dender, last in the championship, and fell into the red zone. But following this defeat, Joseph Oosting has taken hold of the team and completely transformed it!

Since the arrival of the Dutch coach, it’s been 3 wins in as many games. First, a 0-1 win at Club Brugge, followed by a qualification for the quarter-finals of the Belgian Cup on penalties against Sint-Truiden and finally, a 3-0 defeat inflicted on Genk last weekend. Will the Great Old be able to cement this winning streak in Ghent?
