The Pro League restarts!

Now the winter break is over, our favorite championship is back with new clashes!

Club Brugge – La Louvière

We’re starting strong this Friday with a duel between two teams at opposite ends of the standings. Club Brugge, second and in the race for the title, and RAAL, 14th and trying to get out of the red zone.

The Club may have a 3-match winning streak, but the break has slowed down their momentum. Since Leko arrived, Club Brugge have been shining in the league. As for RAAL, they have 5/15.

Will the wolves be able to surprise the Blauw en Zwart?

KAA Gent – RSC Anderlecht

Now it’s time to look at Sunday with two beautiful fixtures. First, Gent will welcome Anderlecht in a top-six match. As the Mauves try to keep up with the leading teams, KAA Gent are struggling to make it into the top six.

As it currently stands, Anderlecht have 7/15 and Gent have 4/15, which is clearly not enough for two teams that are supposed to be part of the country’s elite. Who will get off on the right foot after the break?

Charleroi – Standard

Finally, we’ll finish the weekend with a bang with the Walloon derby between the Carolos and Liégeois. In the first leg at Sclessin a few weeks ago, it was the Rouches who won with a score of 3-1.

Standard are currently ranked 6th, a position that would indicate a successful season if they manage to keep it until the end. However, at their current level, it’s clear that this objective is impossible to achieve. No team has ever qualified in the Champions Playoffs with a negative goal difference... and Standard are at -5.

In Charleroi, season after season we’re seeing the same thing as the Carolos are once again dangerously close to the red zone. Ironically, they are also close to the top 6 with just 3 points between them and Standard.

Will the Rouches manage to keep their place or will they fall back to the mid-table?
