A last battle for the title

Union and Club are still going strong. Both teams won during the second-to-last matchday, so the 1st and 2nd team have to separate themselves at the finish line. Could Union lose it all again?

Union: the big favorite

Is it finally the year Union will get the title? After two consecutive years of watching the title slip through their fingers at the hands of Club Brugge, the Brussels team have the chance to wash away all the frustration by finally stepping onto the top step of the podium.

The only obstacle in their way? The worst team in these Playoffs. In last place and with nothing left to play for: KAA Gent. Everything seems to be pointing to Union being champions, but which scenarios would lead to them lifting the trophy?

They wouldn't dare, would they? Brugge wouldn't deprive Union of the title during the last matchday for the third time.

But what if they did? All that would be needed is a faux pas from Union against Gent. In this case, we're sure that Brugge would jump at the opportunity to destroy Antwerp and get to the top of the leaderboard at the finish line.
